Almond Butter, Banana and Medjool Date Pitas

A tasty snack that the entire family will enjoy. 

Serves: 4 


2 whole grain pitas

1/2 cup of almond butter ( or choice of nut butter/spread

8 Medjool Dates, pitted and chopped 

2 bananas, peeled and sliced 


Cut each pita in half crosswise to form 4 pita pockets 

Gently open each pita and spread 1 Tbls of almond butter to each interior side

Top the peanut butter with chopped dates, which have been evenly divided 

Add the bananas to each pita and gently press sides together to reform pitas

Eat immediately OR grill on a panini grill for a special treat
